The Rockford IceHogs have signed defenseman Tyson Feist to a one-year deal, the team announced Monday.

Feist, who hails from Dawson Creek, B.C., split time between the Syracuse Crunch and the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears in 2024-25. While he collected one assist in six AHL games, Feist scored three goals and added 14 assists for 17 points in 57 ECHL games.

Having turned pro in 2022, Feist has appeared in 44 career AHL regular season games with the Crunch and the Chicago Wolves, accumulating one goal and seven assists for eight points. Before turning pro, Feist played his junior hockey in the WHL with the Spokane Chiefs, Regina Pats and the Kelowna Rockets.

With Feist joining the IceHogs, he will have the opportunity to impress the team in camp and potentially earn a job on the blueline. A impactful player at both ends of the ice, Feist will either serve as solid depth in the AHL or be a go-to player in the ECHL.
