Suchanek had surgery to repair a ruptured ACL

The Anaheim Ducks announced Thursday that goaltender Tomas Suchanek is out six to eight months after undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured ACL.
A narive of Prerov, Czechia, Suchanek spent this past season playing for the San Diego Gulls and Tulsa Oilers (ECHL). With San Diego, he posted a record of 14-10-5 to go along with a 2.92 GAA and a ,910 SV% in 29 appearances. In Tulsa, Suchanek had a record of 3-5-0, a 2.77 GAA and a .906 SV% in eight appearances.
Prior to signing with the Gulls as a free agent, Suchanek spent two seasons playing for the WHL's Tri-City Americans.
Although this injury is a setback for Suchanek, he proved in his first pro season that he has a bright future. While it is unknown if he will play this season, Suchanek has another two years on his deal after this season to try and crack the NHL.
