The San Diego Gulls have signed forwards Easton Brodzinski and Michael Farren to professional try-outs, it was announced Tuesday.
Brodzinski, a product of Blaine, Minn., has spent this season splitting time in the ECHL with the Allen Americans and the Tulsa Oilers. Over a combined 46 games between the two teams, Brodzinski has 15 goals and 19 assists for 34 points.
Having turned pro at the end of the 2021-22 season, Brodzinski has seen 153 career regular season ECHL games, putting up 45 goals and 50 assists for 95 points. He has also appeared in one game with the Hartford Wolf Pack, going pointless.
Prior to making the jump to the pro game, Brodzinski played five seasons in the NCAA with St. Cloud State.
Farren, who hails from Surrey, B.C., has spent the entire season to date with the Tulsa Oilers, putting up 17 goals and 34 points in 48 games. Since turning pro in 2021-22, Warren has played in Austria as well as the ECHL. Prior to that, he played junior hockey in the WHL with Saskatoon Blades, Kelowna Rockets and the Swift Current Broncos.
Both players have been difference makers for the Oilers and have earned a look with the Gulls. If both can make an impact, they could get a look as full-time players next season.
