The San Jose Barracuda have signed goaltender Aaron Dell to one-year deal, the team announced Thursday.
A product of Airdrie, Alta., this will be Dell's third stint with the team.
Dell suited up for the Ontario Reign in 2023-24, posting a record of 7-4-1 to go along with a 2.57 GAA and a .914 SV% in 12 appearances. Over the course of seven seasons in the AHL, Dell has collected a record of 67-54-17, a 2.63 GAA and a .914 SV% in 145 appearances.
Before turning pro in 2012, Dell played three seasons at the University of North Dakota (NCAA).
With Dell getting set to suit up for the Barracuda, he will compete with Gabriel Carriere and Georgi Romanov for starts. With Romanov posting solid numbers last season, Dell may assume the backup role out of the gates.
