The Lehigh Valley Phantoms have recalled forward Sawyer Boulton from the ECHL's Reading Royals, it was announced Sunday.
Having turned pro this season, Boulton has split time between the ECHL and AHL this year, going pointless in four games with the Phantoms and collecting a goal in five games with Reading.
Hailing from Huntington, N.Y., Boulton spent time in 2023-24 with both the OHL's London Knights and the NAHL's Rochester Jr. Americans. In 10 games with Rochester, he had five points while putting up five points in 40 regular season games with London.
Known for his never back down attitude, Boulton caught the eye of Phantoms management this past offseason and hasn't looked out of place. As Boulton joins Lehigh Valley again, if he can put together a solid strong of games, he could potentially stick.
