It's the Thunderrrrrrbirddddsss.
Hopefully, you can hear the musical intent of the above line. If not, appreciate the fantastic fan service of the AHL's Springfield Thunderbirds, who continue to have one of the coolest promo nights in pro sports with their nod to The Simpsons.
On February 10th the club will re-brand as the Springfield Ice-O-Topes when they face off with the defending Calder Cup Champions Hershey, a nod to the hockey club in Matt Groening's iconic animated comedy series.
The T-Birds initially began the now wildly popular promo night in 2019, with longtime Simpsons writer and executive producer Al Jean, in an interview with nhl.com, calling the move "really cool," joking that "Now we finally know where Springfield is."
The event is nearly sold out, with the club set to dawn neon green (radioactive?!) jerseys featuring a three-eyed Falcon, a wink and a nod to the three-eyed fish from the series.
