MacEachern did not appear in a game with the Blues

The St. Louis Blues have loaned forward Mackenzie MacEachern to the Springfield Thunderbirds, the team announced Friday.

MacEachern, a 2012 third round pick of the Blues, has only seen time with the Thunderbirds this season where he has collected six goals and nine assists for 15 points in 18 games.

A native of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., MacEachern has played in 123 career NHL regular season games with the Blues, putting up 11 goals and 20 points. MacEachern has also seen time with the Carolina Hurricanes but only during the playoffs.

As MacEachern gets reassigned to the AHL, he will once again play a prominent role for the Thunderbirds. Having produced at a 0.47 point per game rate throughout his AHL career, MacEachern is a reliable forward and adds depth to the Blues system.
