Syracuse Crunch forward Ilya Usau cleared unconditional waivers Sunday and will have his contract terminated with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
This comes after the Lightning placed him on waivers Saturday.
A product of Minsk, Belarus, Usau originally signed a three-year entry level contract with the Lightning on Mar. 20, 2022 as a free agent.
Spending the past two seasons playing for the Crunch, Usau scored 11 goals and added 19 assists for 30 points in 103 games.
While it is unknown where Usau will play next season, he will most likely head back overseas to play in the KHL. Usau spent two seasons with Dinamo Minsk before signing with the Lightning, collecting 35 points in 105 games.
