Former Toronto Marlies defenseman Tommy Miller has signed a one-year deal with the Syracuse Crunch, it was announced Sunday.

Miller, a product of West Bloomfield, Mich., just finished his second full season with the Marlies and third in the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, collecting three assists in 35 regular season games. Across 119 career games with the Marlies, Miller had one goal and 14 assists for 15 points.

Before turning pro in 2022, Miller spent five seasons in the NCAA with Michigan State and Northeastern. His best season offensively came in his third year with the Spartans, accumulating nine points in 36 games.

As Miller departs for Syracuse, he leaves the only organization he's known throughout his short pro career. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing in at 194 pounds, Miller is difficult to play against in his own zone and moves the puck efficiently. As he continues to gain more experience as a pro, look for his role to only continue to grow.
