Former Bakersfield Condors defenseman Tyler Inamoto has signed a one-year deal with the ECHL's Fort Wayne Komets, it was announced earlier this week.

Inamoto, a product of Barrington, Ill., split time between the Komets and the Condors in 2024-25, collecting two assists in eight AHL games and three assists in 32 ECHL regular-season games. With Fort Wayne having made the playoffs, Inamoto put up another three assists in 13 games.

Over the course of his three-year pro career, Inamoto has gotten into 23 career AHL regular-season games with the Comets and the Ontario Reign, accumulating five assists. Prior to turning pro, Inamoto played five years in the NCAA with Wisconsin.

With Inamoto signing with the Komets, it is likely he spends the majority of the 2025-26 season with the team. Having proven to be a good depth option when called upon, Inamoto can still fill in when needed at the AHL level.
