Utah HC have assigned defenseman Maveric Lamoureux to the Tucson Roadrunners, it was announced Sunday.
Lamoureux has not appeared in a game since the end of November due to injury.
Drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Lamoureux has split time between the NHL and the AHL this season, collecting three points in 15 games with Utah and three points in four games with the Roadrunners.
Before making the jump to the pro game this season, Lamoureux plied his craft in the QMJHL with the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Over 152 career regular season games, he scored 19 goals and collected 83 points.
With Lamoureux being assigned to the Roadrunners, his return seems to be in close order. As someone who has not looked out of place at the NHL level, Lamoureux should be back with the big club soon.
