The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Aatu Raty from the Abbotsford Canucks, it was announced Tuesday.
Drafted by the New York Islanders in the second round of the 2021 NHL Draft, Raty has spent time in both the NHL and AHL this season. With Vancouver, he has collected two goals and four points in 20 games while putting up 23 points in 23 games with Abbotsford.
With 2022-23 being Raty's first full season in North America, he has played in 35 career NHL regular season games, accumulating four goals and seven points in the process.
Although he did not see a game with Vancouver last season, Raty has continually gotten better and has proven himself to be someone who will play an important role for the Canucks in the near future.
Raty will have the chance to draw into the lineup when the Canucks face off against the Nashville Predators Wednesday.
