The Vancouver Canucks have recalled defenseman Kirill Kudryavtsev from the Abbotsford Canucks, it was announced Monday.

A 2022 seventh round pick of the Canucks, Kurdryavtsev has spent the entire season with Abbotsford, collecting five goals and 21 assists for 26 points in 63 games. Prior to turning pro this season, Kudryavtsev spent three seasons playing for the OHL's Soo Greyhounds.

During his time in the OHL, Kudryavtsev put up solid offensive numbers from the backend, including 18 goals and 118 assists for 136 points in 202 career regular season games.

Having made his NHL debut Monday night, Kudryavtsev caps off an impressive rookie season in the Canucks organization. As someone who makes smart decisions with the puck and can be relied upon by coaches in tight situations, Kudryavtsev could push for a spot on Vancouver next season.
