(Source: Jeff Curry-Imagn Images)Western Michigan goalie Hampton Slukynsky has signed a three-year entry-level contract (ELC) that begins in the 2026-27 season. He will play the remainder of the 2025-26 season with the Kings' AHL affiliate team, the Ontario Reign.
The 20-year-old Slukynsky was originally selected by the Kings 118th overall in the fourth round of the 2023 Draft.
His brother, also from Western Michigan, forward Grant Slukynsky has also been signed to an entry-level contract through the 2026-27 season. Just like Hampton, he will play the remainder of this year with the Reign.
Hampton played 64 games through two seasons in Kalamazoo, putting up a 46-16-2 record, a Goals-Against Average of 2.14 and a save percentage of .918. He was voted to the 2024-25 NCAA All-Tournament Team and the NCHC Second All-Star Team in both seasons.
He also had a major contribution in leading Team USA to a gold medal in the 2025 World Juniors.
Grant played 39 games for the Broncos in 2025-26 scoring 40 points (10G, 30A). He was voted to the NCHC Third All-Star Team.
Both players helped Western Michigan win the 2025 National Championship.
