The Coachella Valley Firebirds have re-signed forward Landon McCallum to a one-year deal, it was announced earlier this week.
McCallum, who turned pro in 2024-25, spent the entire year in the ECHL with the Kansas City Mavericks, scoring 15 goals and adding 24 assists for 39 points in 65 regular-season games. With the Mavericks having made the playoffs, McCallum added a further six points in 15 games.
Prior to turning pro, McCallum spent four seasons in the OHL with the Sudbury Wolves, accumulating 49 goals and 104 assists for 153 points in 246 career regular season games.
With McCallum extending with the Firebirds, he stands a good chance to make his AHL debut with the team in 2025-26. A difference maker for the Wolves over his final few junior seasons, McCallum has adjusted well to the pro level and seems ready for his next challenge.
