Blackhawks Prospect Colton Dach Breaks Out as an Offensive Threat for the IceHogs with Four Goals in Two Games
Colton Dach is red hot.
The 62nd overall draft selection of the Chicago Blackhawks in 2021 earned his first pro goal with the Rockford IceHogs on November 17th, sniping one by Admirals netminder Troy Grosenick at 8:49 of the third period of what would be a 5-4 overtime loss.
Dach would follow up the effort last night with a dominant performance against the Iowa Wild, scoring his first pro-hat-trick, with seven shots on net, and banking the game-clinching shootout marker off a beautiful backhand past Zane McIntyre to cap off the strongest game of his seven AHL starts.
In the WHL, following a 79-point season, he was named captain for the Kelowna Rockets to start the 22-23 campaign before being traded to the Seattle Thunderbirds where he would put up 10 points in nine regular season games. Dach would register 14 points in 19 games en route to the Thunderbirds winning the league title.
