Longtime Vegas blueliner and Henderson captain Brayden Pachal is heading to Calgary.

Former Stanley Cup Champion with the Vegas Golden Knights and captain for their affiliate in Henderson, Brayden Pachal has been claimed off waivers by the Calgary Flames.

Pachal, 24, has one assist in 17 games with the Golden Knights this season. The undrafted Saskatchewan native split time between the Silver Knights of the AHL and their NHL affiliate in Vegas, suiting up for 55 AHL games in 2022-23, banking 15 points in a year in which he'd win a Stanley Cup with Vegas.

Breaking into the pros from the WHL's Prince Albert Raiders, Pacahl played 48 games in the Chicago Wolves in 2019-20, with another 89 games in Henderson from 2020-21 to 2021-22. Pachal was named captain of the Silver Knights in January 2022.
