Two of the brightest prospects in the American Hockey League made the jump to the NHL on Saturday.

Logan Stankoven, 20, and Pierrick Dube, 23, suited up for their first games of National Hockey League action with the Dallas Stars and Washington Capitals this weekend.

Stankoven, a highly touted forward currently leading the AHL in points, was well-utilized during his first game with Dallas as the club moved past the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1.

Stankoven logged 15:20 of ice time, finishing with three shots on goal and a plus-one. Stankoven manned the third line with Wyatt Johnson and Jamie Benn, featuring on the secondary power play unit.

The highly touted second-rounder for the Stars in 2021 leads the AHL with 57 points through 47 games, banking 24 goals in that span with Texas.

Another potent AHL scorer felt his first taste of NHL hockey last night, as French forward Pierrick Dube suited up for the Washington Capitals.

Dube, a winger from Lyon, France who has split time in his pro career between the AHL and ECHL, logged just 4:33 of ice time as the Capitals dropped an overtime loss to the surging Florida Panthers.

Dube has put up 24 goals and 34 points through 50 games with the AHL's league-leading Hershey Bears.
