It was a historic evening for goaltending prospect Sebastian Cossa, as the 21-year-old pushed his point streak to 15 games following the victory over the Rockford at the BMO Center on, which tied a franchise record for a point streak by a goaltender.
Marc Lamothe set the record with a 9-0-4-2 (W-L-T-OTL) record from Oct. 19-Nov. 30, 2002 while Cossa tied it with a 10-0-5 record.
Cossa, the 15th overall selection of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft by the Detroit Red Wings, has a 2.54 GAA and .912 SP in his first full AHL season after splitting time between Grand Rapids and the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye in the 2022-23 season.
The Griffins currently sit in second place in the Central Division with 73 points.
