Another Doan is set to dawn home colours in the desert.
Josh Doan, 22, has been recalled by the Arizona Coyotes of the National Hockey League from their AHL affiliate in Tucson, with the expectation that the Scottsdale native will suit up in his home state to make his National Hockey League debut against Columbus.
A second overall selection of the Coyotes in 2021, Doan has thrived for the Roadrunners in his second season in the American League, potting 26 goals and adding 20 assists across 46 games.
Doan sits third in rookies for points and first for goals scored.
Josh's father Shane is one of the most beloved players in Coyotes franchise history, having spent the entirety of his 21-seasons in the National Hockey League in the Arizona franchise. A multi-time Gold medalist, Doan is the all-time leading scorer of the Coyotes and the longest-serving NHL captain until his retirement in 2017.
