All-Star MVP and highly touted Canucks prospect Arshdeep Bains could get his first taste of NHL action with Vancouver on Saturday.

Arshdeep Bains is finally getting a crack with the Vancouver Canucks,

The club announced on Friday that Bains, 23, has been recalled to the NHL, with blueliner Jett Woo reassigned to Abbotsford of the AHL.

Bains, who was the MVP of the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic with two goals and three assists, has been rock solid for Abbotsford in his second season with the club.

The Surrey, B.C. native has nine goals and 39 points in 42 games this season, following up a solid rookie campaign where he netted 13 goals and added 25 helpers.

A product of the WHL, Bains spent the entirety of his junior career with the Red Deer Rebels, popping off with a massive 43 goals and 112 points in 68 games in 2021-22.

The first-place Canucks (37-12-6) next host the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday, and while it remains to be seen if Bains cracks the lineup, it would be a fantastic homecoming for the red-hot prospect.
