Artemi Panarin snaps five-game goal drought, lifts Rangers in surprising win during ECF Game three

New York’s Artemi Panarin is still due for his big game in this series after having a successful record versus the Panthers with seven goals and 14 assists in 13 matchups.

Sunday features an early afternoon showing with Game three between the Rangers travelling to Sunrise to take on the Panthers. The series is tied after two games with the Rangers looking to steal one on the road just like the Panthers did in Game one.

We may have finally turned things around as a 3-1 day yesterday brings our record to 4-2 over our last six picks.

All betting lines are from BetMGM and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Artemi Panarin anytime goal (+175), Rangers ML (+130), Under 5.5 goals (-135)

We’ve been wrong in both games about Artemi Panarin as his successful recent history versus the Panthers isn’t exactly translating to this series.

The Rangers hit their stride offensively in Game two thanks to his linemate Vincent Trocheck, who scored the first goal of the game and assisted Barclay Goodrow’s game-winner.

His performance has seen him rise to the Rangers top point producer this postseason at seven goals and nine assists for 16 points in 12 games. Panarin isn’t far behind with four goals and eight assists for 12 points.

I think we stick with our guns as Panarin is due for a big impact game besides dishing for secondary assists. He still has great career numbers in this matchup with seven goals and 14 assists in 13 games versus the Panthers since joining the Rangers.

He should make an impact and score one of the Rangers only goals as we can expect another low-scoring affair. In the last eight Stanley Cup playoff games, only one has gone over six goals which means the defense and goaltending has hit a new level in this round.

Both games in this series have seen just three goals in each game and Florida’s final three games versus the Bruins in the second round all went under making it five games in a row for them.

77 per cent of the bets on BetMGM are for the Under and I think we have to agree with them as these two teams are rolling defensively. Just 29 per cent of the moneyline bets believe in the Rangers and we ride with those people.
