Toronto’s Auston Matthews enters Monday with no goals over his last three games and has only gone without a goal for four games once this season
Monday kicks off the week with some thrilling playoff matchups including Game one’s between the Stars and Golden Knights followed by the Oilers taking on their California rivals in the Kings.
Both games should be action-packed but earlier in the night we see an all-important Game two for the Maple Leafs who look to end their eight-game losing streak to the Bruins.
It’ll be a great night of hockey and one we look to profit from as we have done so often lately. Our Pad Stacking Challenge that comes out later today has been red hot, growing our initial $10 bet into $552 along with our Best Bets catching fire with a 16-6 record over our last 22 picks.

Bet: Auston Matthews anytime goal (-115), Tyler Bertuzzi Over 0.5 points (+100)
A rule of thumb for Leafs fans who enjoy betting this season has been to look out for Auston Matthews and when he has most recently scored. He enters Monday with no goals over his last three games and the league’s top scorer has only gone without a goal for four games once this year in late November.
Since then, Matthews hasn’t gone more than two games without scoring until he went without a goal in Game one against Boston. He should look to bounce back as he has great numbers against the Bruins despite the Leafs having lost eight straight games in this matchup.
Matthews hasn’t scored in his last three games against Boston but in the prior seven games, he scored nine goals with 11 points. The Leafs will desperately want a bounce back and it will have to start with their 69-goal scorer in Matthews. This will also give a chance for linemate Tyler Bertuzzi to find the scoresheet.
The Sudbury native has been a playoff performer for his entire hockey career dating back to his days with the Guelph Storm in the Ontario Hockey League.
Last season, he scored five goals and totalled for ten points with the Bruins in their seven-game series against the Florida Panthers. He should bounce back alongside his linemate and help the Leafs stay competitive in Game two.
Bet: Islanders Over 2.5 goals (+135), Kyle Palmieri Over 0.5 points (-105)
The Islanders fought hard in Game one versus the Hurricanes but were ultimately downed with just one goal on the board. This isn’t a normal occurrence for this team as they’ve been on fire offensively as of late with 30 goals over their last nine games of the regular season.
They outscored the Hurricanes, who only scored 24 goals during that stretch, and should see a bounce back game as Game one ended the Islanders four-game streak of scoring three or more goals in this matchup.
They will need a big game from veteran winger Kyle Palmieri, who didn’t play at best in Game one and should bounce back as he has lead New York in scoring since mid-March with ten goals and 15 points. He also has four goals and nine points in his last ten games versus Carolina.
