Chicago’s Connor Bedard has 18 points over his last 13 games and should score on LA in Friday’s Best Bets
Friday Night offers an exciting ending to the week with a pair of matchups that should excite hockey fans. The Kings and Jets both come into tonight as massive favourites but will receive some pushback from young rosters in Anaheim and Chicago.
The Blackhawks have seen most of their success be at the hands of young star Connor Bedard, who has been in on 18 of the team’s 40 goals since the All-Star Break. The Kings will look to shut him down as the Jets look to continue their hot streak against the struggling Ducks, who are working their way through a developmental season.
It’ll be an exciting end to the week and with fewer games to bet on, you’ll want to be sure of your picks for this evening. Lucky for you, we are riding a red hot 10-4 record over the past few days and look to extend our winning ways into the weekend.

Bet: Frank Vatrano over 0.5 points (-120)
The Ducks have dropped four straight and have been one of the league’s worst teams since the All-Star Break with just five wins over their last 16 games and the second-lowest goals per game average of just two and a half on average. Their backend has also hit new lows with the second-most goals allowed during that span with 67 over the last 16 games.
There’s almost nothing positive about the Ducks with seven straight losses to the Jets and just two wins over their last 15 matchups. However, the one bright spot has been Frank Vatrano, who represented the Ducks at this year’s edition of the All-Star Game and has been on a tear since with seven goals and 14 points over his 16 games.
The Ducks have only scored 40 goals during that span, which means he’s in on nearly half the teams goals and is surprising to see him at such a great value just to get a point. The Jets will likely shut them down but if the Ducks get a goal it’ll be thanks to Vatrano.
Bet: Connor Bedard anytime goal (+180)
The Kings have been rolling lately with 11 wins in their last 18 games and have a great history against the Blackhawks with a 14-3-2 record over their last 19 matchups.
It’s been a rough year for the Blackhawks as they’ve found themselves extremely dependent on Connor Bedard and get almost all their scoring from him this season with 20 goals and 51 points on Chicago’s 145 goals this season.
They’ve been rolling lately with 14 goals in their last two games but will have a tough test against the Kings. Since mid-February, LA has allowed the fourth-fewest goals per game with 2.33 on average and will hold the Blackhawks to a low total. When they’ve needed a goal, the young star has bailed them out and should again Friday night but in a likely losing effort.
