San Jose looks to ignite home offense against Kraken with Matty Beniers, who is also looking to find the scoresheet

The Kraken have picked things up with an 11-4-3 record since mid-December, that looks a lot better than their 10-14-7 record in their prior 31 games. They were struggling to score with a bottom six offense averaging 2.71 goals per game and allowing 3.19 goals per game. During their recent run, they’ve improved drastically on the backend, dropping their average goals against per game to 2.33 thanks to stellar play from netminder Joey Daccord, who's 2.36 goals against average is second-best in the NHL behind Connor Hellebuyck.

The Sharks haven't done much to stop anyone with the second-worst home defense and worst home offense. However, they could be turning things around with three wins in their last four games, one of which was a shocking 3-2 win over the Rangers.

San Jose will look to shock again in one of the only two games on the night with all of the hockey world watching. The small amount of games due to the upcoming All-Star break makes the picks for bets as slim as they can get. If you want bets you can count on, here is two of our best bets that should help you get a win this Tuesday night.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Please gamble responsibly.

Pick: Sharks over 2.5 goals (-105)

The Sharks are not great this season in almost any respects but scoring at home is something any team can do and San Jose is no exception. They’ve scored three or more goals in eight of their 23 home games this season, which is the worst rate in the league but they do get to shot on the Kraken’s expected starter Philipp Grubauer, who has a 3.25 goals against average on the season and has allowed three or more in eight of his last 11 starts.

The Sharks have gotten three or more in two of their last three home games and have also scored three or more in five of their last eight games. They should find a way to get it done at home and find a way to get on the board with the help of maybe a powerplay or two.

Pick: Matty Beniers over 0.5 points (+100)

The young American has had a young season so far with only six goals and 19 points in 44 games this season. He’s gone without a point in eight of his last nine games and should end his point drought against one of the league’s worst backends with the Sharks allowing the second-most goals per home game this season with a 3.70 average.

The Sharks should be feisty in this one with Grubauer in net and push the pace which means the Kraken will need to find ways to score and should make this one a high-scoring affair. If there was any time Beniers was going to bounce back it would be against the Sharks defense.
