The Capitals continued their fall from grace with their third straight loss Wednesday night to the Avalanche. They were at one point sitting in a playoff spot but now look from the outside with only five wins in their last 15 games. They travel to the Lone Star state Saturday to take on the Stars who’ve had their number with four straight wins in this matchup. The Stars have also been heating up lately with a 7-2-1 record in their last ten games and have been an impressive home team with a 15-8-2 record and the second-best home offense, averaging just over four goals a game when playing at American Airlines Center.
It’ll be a tall order for the Capitals to dig themselves out of the hole they are currently in but on a losing streak they are due to win eventually.
