The Kings finally ended their eight game losing streak with their win last night against the Hurricanes on the road. They continue their travels to the Lone Star state, where they take on the Stars, who have seen a moderate slowdown with a 3-3-1 record over their last seven games. The Stars have beaten the Kings in three straight at American Airlines Center and could look to make it four against a tired Kings team looking to win both games of a back-to-back which has proven to be one of the hardest tasks in hockey.
It should be a tight game with both teams looking for a win with the Kings looking to use it to get back on track and the Stars looking to catch up to the Jets in the Central division race. If you are looking to get in on the action and enhance your viewing experience, here is our best bet for tonight’s matchup.

Pick: Over 5.5 goals (-165)
The Stars aren’t great on defense at home with a bottom five goals against average per home game with 3.57 which is just as bad as the Blue Jackets and worse than the Sens and Habs. They’ve allowed four or more goals in five of their last seven home games but have a good record against the Kings with a 7-3-0 record in their last ten meeting with six or more goals in four of the games.
The Kings will have 36-year-old Caledonia native Cam Talbot in net, who’s given up three or more goals in four straight starts. Jake Oettinger is expected to get the net for the Stars and is returning from a lower-body that had him out since mid-December. He had a rough first outing back giving up four goals to Nashville before bouncing back with a 20 save, one goal performance against Chicago. He may still have some rust and should give up at least a pair to a Kings team averaging the second-most goals per road game this season with an average of 3.62 only behind their opponent in Dallas.
