The Predators travel to the Lone Star state to take on the Stars for the third time this season, where they’ve split the first two games. The Stars have been dominant with a 10-4-2 record in their last 16 games with wins over the Canucks, Kraken and Wild. Nashville was on an impressive 7-1-0 record at the start of December but since then have gone 4-5-1 with losses to the declining Ducks and Red Wings.
It should be an exciting matchup and if you want to get in on the action and enhance your viewing experience, here are some best bets you can take on tonight’s game.

Pick: Predators +1.5 (-165)
Smashville has had a surprising season to date with a 22-18-1 record that has them fourth in the Central division and only eight points behind the Stars and tied with the Kraken for the West’s last Wild Card spot. They just beat the Stars 4-3 last Saturday yet the sportsbooks have the Preds listed as underdogs with pretty favourable odds. They have a 15-8 record against the spread this season as an underdog and have a history of playing tight with Dallas with ten of their last 15 matchups being one score games.
Pick: Over 6.5 goals (-115)
Juuse Saros has been going through a career-worst funk with five goals against in four straight starts and three or more goals in six of his last seven starts. He’s been rough and the Stars may have a question mark in net with either Jake Oettinger coming back from a lower-body injury and having not played in four weeks, or Scott Wedgewood who started off good for the Stars but has a 3.34 goals against average and a save percentage of .867 over his last 6 games.
Both netminders' performance as of late should make this a high-scoring game plus the Stars have the second-best goals per game this season with 3.68 only behind the Canucks, and the Predators scored three or more goals in each of their last six games.
Pick: Jason Robertson over 0.5 assists (-110)
The hottest player on the Stars right now is Robertson with six assists and 11 points in his last nine games. His best games come against Nashville, who he has his most points against tied alongside the Blackhawks with 12 assists and 21 points in 18 career games versus the Predators. His betting line for a point is too high with needing to get two tonight, which is doable but I like the chances of Robertson to get an apple as he plays on a prolific line with Roope Hintz and Joe Pavelski that is one of the longest tenured lines in the league. He can find them with ease due to their superb chemistry and should help them find the back of the net.
