Thursday night looks to be action-packed with 12 games on the slate and some exciting late night showdowns like red hot Avs playing host to the always feisty Senators, The Flames look to ignite their California road trip with their first stop in Anaheim and the Coyotes battle the Sharks to see who will get out of the basement of the Pacific division.

There’s certainly no shortage of games to pick from and props to bet on. Here are some picks from the late games of the Thursday slate that should help you go into Friday with some extra cash.

Ottawa Senators @ Colorado Avalanche

When a team is rolling, you better get out of the way or you may get caught up in the Avalanche, who are dominating at home this season with a 12-4-0 record and the most goals per home game in the league (4.31) by a large margin. They are also keeping teams off the score sheet with a top ten ranking in fewest-goals allowed per home game this season (2.81) and should roll past a Sens team that is normally great against the spread.

Pick: Avalanche -1.5 (+125 BetMGM)

Calgary Flames @ Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks have the worst home record in the league this year at 5-10-0 and are tied for the fifth fewest-goals per home game (2.67) which has made it hard for their fans to watch. Both teams have only won three of their last eight or so games but the Flames have won their last six straight games in the Honda Center and could look to add momentum ahead of their California road trip.

Pick: Flames ML (-150 BetMGM)

Arizona Coyotes @ San Jose Sharks

Both teams have been decent as of late with the Sharks landing impressive wins against the Jets, Red Wings and Islanders. They have been counted out due to their poor start to the season but the Sharks have improved as they have 4-4-1 record and are tied for the eighth-most goals per game in the month of December (3.44). They’ve also beaten the Yotes in five of their last seven matchups at the SAP Center.

Pick: Sharks ML (+136 BetMGM)
