Wednesday has a packed slate of NHL action that should excite all fans of the game. We are coming off a decent Tuesday where we correctly predicted that the Canucks would hold the Bruins to a low total and hit the under. We look to build on the win and hopefully piece together a winning streak.

Bet: Maple Leafs Panthers Under 5.5 goals (-105), Panthers ML (-155)
The Cats are an easy slam dunk in this spot as the Leafs have been otherworldly without star forward Auston Matthews in the lineup. The Buds have won four straight and have a 7-1-0 record without their new captain in the lineup. Florida is due for a win as they've lost four straight.
The biggest factor contributing to the Panthers demise as of late has been their backend as they've allowed 20 goals over the four losses. Following their playoff series in 2023, these two teams have squared off four times and have split the series two games a piece.
A new regularity in matchups between these two is a lot of scoring with seven or more goals in each of their last two matchups. With how bad the Florida defence has been we are hoping this pushes the public to go with the over, especially with it being as low as six, when the under seemingly appears to be the best play.
The Panthers are due for a bounce back defensive game and the Leafs have turned into more of a defensive minded team under new bench boss Craig Berube. The Leafs have the second-best goals against average this season at 2.48 and before their four losses, the Panthers had a middling yet decent 3.11 average that had them placed in the top 15 teams. I'm expecting a bounce back performance from the Panthers in a big way with a win at home where they are 32-18-3 since the start of last season.
Bet: Blue Jackets -1.5 (+135), Dimitri Voronkov Over 0.5 points (-110)
The Habs are coming off a brutal overtime loss Tuesday in a game they certainly could've won against the Utah Hockey Club. They look to rebound on the road the very next day in a tough matchup against a red hot Blue Jackets team. Many may not know but Columbus has been quietly putting together some great efforts as of late with wins in four of their last five games, including three straight wins over the likes of the Bruins, Hurricanes and Lightning.
The Blue Jackets look legit and it's large part due to their prolific offence that has totaled 24 goals over their last five games. Defenceman Zach Werenski finished as the first star of the week as he's been tearing things up lately with three goals and seven assists for ten points during their five-game hot streak.
Other forwards Sean Monahan, Dimitri Voronkov and Kirill Marchenko are all averaging a point per game during this stretch with nine, six and five points respectively. A expect much of the public to expect a Habs bounce back as they are due for a couple wins and are coming off an emotional loss last night but I think this one should be all Blue Jackets.
The Habs are garnering 62 per cent of all the public puck line bets when I think Columbus wins this game convincingly. Voronkov has been excelling since joining the first line alongside Monahan and Marchenko. The 24-year-old Russian youngster should continue his recent success with a big night on Wednesday.
Bet: Jets Kings Over 5.5 goals (-105), Adrian Kempe Over 0.5 points (-175)
When looking at very low totals, we like to think that they are that low for a reason and there is no doubt that the Kings and Jets should put out a defensive showdown. LA has the third-best goals against average in the league at 2.56 over their last 18 games while Winnipeg sits a top the league with the best average this season at 2.36 which means we shouldn't expect goals in this one.
A large amount of the public are loving the over in this spot as it's receiving 90 per cent of the bets on the total. It makes sense considering these two have totalled six or more goals in five of their last six matchups and the Jets are top five in scoring with a 3.58 goals per game average since the start of November.
The Kings aren't the most prolific offence in the league but they do find ways to score when they need to as they rep a 28-14-8 home record since last season. They have seen a huge boost in production from their top line dynamic duo in Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe.
The pair have combined for 30 assists this season and become even more lethal when playing at home with Kempe recording 20 goals and 31 assists for 51 points in his last 47 home games. These two should both be lively on offence and push this game to well beyond six goals.
