Calgary Flames have won ten of their last 15 matchups versus the Dallas Stars with both teams ranking top eight in goals against average this season

Sunday has a solid slate of NHL action that should excite and satisfy all hockey fans. From the Avalanche and Devils to the Bolts and Canucks, we have plenty of opportunities to hit it big and hopefully extend some of our impressive records like our 29-18 record on game total and team unders this season.

Bet: Flames +1.5 (-135), Flames Stars Under 6.0 goals (-110)

The Stars are looking for a crucial win at home as they've lost two straight and will face a tough matchup against the Flames. Calgary has beat Dallas in ten of their last 15 matchups with each game being very high-scoring, combining for six or more goals in seven of their last eight games, including six straight matchups with seven or more.

It's tough to say if they can continue this trend as both teams have elite backends and goaltenders with the Flames ranking eighth in goals against average at 2.85 while the Stars are top three with a 2.58 average. The public is all over the Stars in this spot, garnering 94 per cent of the moneyline bets and 73 per cent of the puck line bets.

We look to fade the public in this spot as well as fade them on the total as 81 per cent of betters are taking the over to fit with the trend. Dallas netminder Jake Oettinger has never allowed fewer than three goals against the Flames while Calgary netminder Dustin Wolf has never played against the Stars but does have a 2.48 goals against average over his last 14 starts.

He should play a pivitol role, slowing down a Stars team that has scored two or fewer goals in three straight games. Our record on unders speaks for itself but other notable records is 5-3 on Flames picks and 9-5 on puck line underdogs.
