The New York Rangers have lost seven straight games and have a 9-15 record against the spread this season

Bet: Penguins Rangers Under 6.5 goals (-105), Penguins +1.5 (-160)

In a controversial decision, the Rangers dealt captain Jacob Trouba to the Anaheim Ducks and will leave New York without their top defenceman heading into their matchup against the Penguins.

The Rangers currently rides a seven-game losing streak that could get extended for another game as they take on the red hot Pittsburgh Penguins, who have won four straight. New York has won five of their last six games against the Penguins with six of their last eight matchups totaling under seven goals.

We should expect a strong effort out of a Rangers team desperately looking to get back in the win column while the Penguins look to make the uphill climb of getting back into the playoff race after a slow start to the season. The Rangers have the ninth-best goals against average this season at 2.92 and the Penguins have a 2.75 average over their four-game winning streak. 

It's hard to pick a side for this one but the public is all over the Rangers in this spot which makes me believe the Penguins can at least keep things close and cover as the Rangers are 9-15 against the spread this season.
