The San Jose Sharks have been quietly putting together a solid season for gamblers alike as they've secured a 13-7 record against the spread which is top five in the NHL. They go against a tough Dallas Stars team that has struggled to beat teams convincingly with a 8-9 record against the spread. Wednesday's late night matchup between these two presents an excellent chance for us to add on to the Pad Stack Challenge.
If you aren’t familiar, the Pad Stack Challenge is an open betting strategy that uses the concept of building our bank and rolling over our profits. We do this by stacking our winnings through well-researched picks given out daily that will hopefully build our bank.We are coming off a massive win Tuesday night where we correctly predicted Mark Scheifele of the Winnipeg Jets would score against the Florida Panthers and it brought our current bank total up to $31 to date.
All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.
Bet: Sharks +2.5 (-140)
This seems like a crazy bet going with the team that is third from the bottom in the standings but like we mentioned, they are a stellar team on the puck line. San Jose has won outright or covered at least two goals in 14 of their last 16 games against the Stars. They've also covered this puck line in six of their last seven trips to Dallas.

San Jose's top line of youngsters with William Eklund and Fabian Zetterlund along with veteran Mikael Granlund has generated their fair share of offence with a combined 12 goals in as many games with all but two of the goals coming at even strength. Zetterland has seen a subtle breakout of his own as he recorded a +12 rating during their 12-game hot streak, which ranks fifth-best in the NHL.
They should have an impact and keep this one close. If we look to build our bank of $31 with the Sharks we would almost double our money to roughly $53 and gives us a chance to hit the $100 mark on Thursday with a loaded slate of games.
