The Capitals look to break four game losing streak with the help of Dylan Strome

The Capitals have had a rough stretch as of late with four straight losses and having not won a game in nearly three weeks. In their last four games, they’ve been outscored 19 to nine and came just short of a win in their last game where they lost in overtime to the Stars. They now return home to take on the Habs, who have only five wins in their last 16 games and have a league-worst 3.88 goals against average during that span.

It should be the Caps chance to get a win for their fans who’ve seen their team fall off a cliff since their 17-9-4 start to the season where since then they’ve won six of their last 18 games and have seen their goals per game average fall to bottom three in the league at 2.33 that ranks worse than the Ducks, Blue Jackets and their opponent tonight in the Habs.

Tonight will be a redemption game for both of these teams as they are both desperate to get some momentum and start their second half of the season on the right note with a win. If you plan to watch this game and want some added excitement, here is our best bet for tonight’s matchup that should help you get a win.

Pick: Dylan Strome over 0.5 points (-130)

The 26-year-old Mississauga native has been the saving grace to this Capitals offense with a team-lead in goals with 19 and tied for the team-lead in points with Alex Ovechkin at 31 on the season. He has been forced to help produce just over a quarter of the team’s goals on his own and when the team has needed him to make a play he has with five powerplay goals and three game-winners this season. His top line carries a large amount of this team’s offense and if they find the back of the net, you can count on Strome being involved in the play.
