The Washington Capitals beat the New York Rangers in both matchups at Capital One Arena this season and will look to avoid a 3-0 series deficit.
Friday caps off the week with an exciting slate of games with three different series entering Game three tonight with a 1-1 tie and looking for someone to take the advantage. The Capitals look to separate themselves from the Lightning and Islanders who fell into a 3-0 deficit in their respective series.
Washington hasn’t made it past the first round since the won the Stanley Cup in 2018 and have a 6-8 home record during that span.
It’ll be an exciting night of games that we hope to profit from. Thursday was a rough night for the Best Bets but we still remain red hot with a 25-13 record over our last 38 picks.

Bet: Capitals Over 2.5 goals (-110), Dylan Strome Over 0.5 points (-155)
The Capitals have scored three or more goals on the Rangers three times this season with Game two being the only time they accomplished this on the road. In their two regular season meetings at Capital One Arena, the Capitals ignited their offense and walked away with the win.
They will need to do it once again as a loss means a 3-0 series deficit that will be difficult to come back from. They have a chance to win if they get an early lead and that means they’ll need another big game from Dylan Strome.
The Mississauga native scored in Game two and has a decent history against the Rangers with a pair of goals and seven points in their last ten matchups.
He’s lead the Capitals offense this season with 27 goals and 67 points in 82 games. He should find the scoresheet against a Rangers team with a 3.71 goals against average over their last seven road games.
Bet: Avalanche ML (-175), Avalanche Over 3.5 goals (-120)
The Avalanche have combined with the Jets for 20 goals through the first two games of their series as they travel back to Colorado for the next two games where the Avalanche turn into a different team.
This season, Colorado was the best home team with a 31-9-1 record and the best offense averaging 4.20 goals per game. Their defense also improved from their 3.07 goals against average to 2.71 at home.
Despite two Stanley Cups, the Avalanche have a higher home winning percentage since 2020 than the Tampa Bay Lightning with a 17-10 record and a 3.71 goals per game average.
They should take advantage of a shellshocked Connor Hellebuyck, who is going through his worst stretch since November with ten goals allowed in the first two games of the series.
People may bank on a Hellebuyck bounce back performance when he may be in for another rough night as he averages 3.76 goals against in ten career starts at Ball Arena. Colorado should take advantage and put on another offensive display and take a 2-1 series lead.
