Pick: Leafs ML (-190), Over 6.5 goals (-105)

The Sabres have won seven of their last ten games against the Buds with a three-game winning streak in this matchup, headed into Wednesday. In the Sabres recent wins, they outscored their opponent 19 to ten, which is surprising for a Leafs team ranked second in goals per game this season. These two normally play exciting games with seven or more goals in 12 of their last 15 matchups with a streak of seven straight games going over.

The Leafs will have no trouble holding up their end of the bargain but the Sabres scoring has been hit or miss this season. A majority of the games they’ve been in as of late are thanks to their young netminder Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who has the lowest goals against average since mid-January with 1.94 out of netminders that have started 15 or more games.

The Sabres should likely get at least two past Leafs expected starter Ilya Samsonov, as Toronto struggles to shut opposing teams down when they are at home with a 3.35 goals against per home game average, that is tied for sixth-worst with the Ducks and Wild. Count on an exciting showing from these two with the Leafs looking to bounce back from their bad loss to the Bruins on Monday and beat the Sabres for the first time this season.
