The Kings have allowed the fewest goals at home this season with 85 which is six fewer than the second-place team.

Wednesday has just five matchups for hockey fans to enjoy and gives us a limited amount of opportunities to look out for another addition to our Pad Stacking Challenge.

If you haven’t been reading our content over the past few days, our new betting challenge uses the concept of building our bank and rolling over our profits. We do this by stacking our winnings through well-researched picks given out daily that will hopefully build our bank.

If you’ve been involved with the challenge over the past few days, you should be at just over $128 and we look to build on that with a pick from the exciting matchup between the

We do not endorse betting this amount of money on a regular basis outside of the circumstances of the challenge.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Kraken Under 2.5 goals (-140)

We see a matchup between two teams that have seemingly lost their way with the Kraken having the worse end of it with a 3-7-2 record and a 1.92 goals per game average over their last 12 games.

The Kings were rolling at one point with a 15-10-1 record since the All-Star break but enter tonight on a three-game losing streak. They’ve allowed four goals in each loss and was a departure from their normally strong defensive game that has seen them allow the third-fewest goals with just 192 this season.

Seattle also plays a strong defensive game with netminder Joey Daccord becoming a breakout star this season with the former Sun Devil tied for third with the Vezina trophy favourite Connor Hellebuyck in goals against average with 2.42 on the season.

Cam Talbot isn’t far behind with a 2.48 goals against average and .915 save percentage in 48 appearances with the Kings.

Both netminders are elite and have the game total very low for this one so we look to the side of the Kings. LA has been an elite defensive team at home this season with the fewest goals-allowed at home this season with 85 which is six fewer than the second-place team.

The Kraken have a 4-1-0 record against the Kings in their building but LA has completely rebuilt their defensive structure this season thanks to new bench boss Jim Hiller. Since he was hired to take over for Todd McLellan, the Kings have allowed the second-fewest goals in the NHL, tied with the Florida Panthers.

They should shut down a Kraken team that has scored the third-fewest road goals this season with 89 through 35 games. If we put our $128 on the Kings shutting down the Kraken, we extend our winnings to $219 to date.
