Washington’s Dylan Strome has three goals and nine points in his previous six games against Buffalo

Tuesday has eight exciting matchups for hockey fans to enjoy and gives us plenty of opportunities to look out for another addition to our Pad Stacking Challenge.

If you haven’t been reading our content over the past few days, our new betting challenge uses the concept of building our bank and rolling over our profits. We do this by stacking our winnings through well-researched picks given out daily that will hopefully build our bank.

If you’ve been involved with the challenge over the last three days, you should be at just over $75 and we look to build on that with a pick from the exciting matchup between the Sabres and red hot Capitals.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Dylan Strome Over 0.5 points (-140)

One of the biggest storylines to come out of the Capitals’ strange season has been the breakout of Dylan Strome as a legitimate top line centre. The 27-year-old Mississauga native is having a career year with 25 goals and 61 points that is on pace to beat his previous career-best of 65 points that came last season.

He has stepped up when the Capitals needed another number one centre to play alongside captain Alex Ovechkin and Strome has done that and more with the most points on the team while continuing his hot streak through the month of March with four goals and 18 points in 15 games.

He has a great history in this matchup with three goals and nine points in his previous six games against Buffalo. He will have to face off against another breakout star in Sabres netminder Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, who has been stellar in keeping his team in the playoff race but has seen a dip in play lately with a record of 2-4-0 and a goals against average of 4.17 plus a save percentage of .870 over his last six starts.

Strome should help conduct the offense as he has for a majority of this season and find the scoresheet at least once. His point would build our total from the $75 earned from New York’s Mika Zibanejad last night into $128 which isn’t the biggest gain in profit but will get us over the $100 milestone.
