Good Friday has a standalone game with the Sabres playing host to the Devils in a game that could be very significant in the race for the playoffs. These two squads both have nine games left with New Jersey five points behind Washington, who occupy the second wild card spot, while the Sabres are eight points back.
This game could make or break the losers season and will be exciting game for all hockey fans to enjoy. It’ll be a tightly contested game with New Jersey having won three straight over Buffalo yet the Sabres being a much better defensive team with 25 fewer goals allowed this season.
Normally we look at a few best bets on the day but today we are gonna start a new challenge where we look to stack the wins just like a goalie stacks his pads to make a big save.
For our sake, we will look to stack our winnings with one pick everyday you can feel confident in hitting and will help build our banks as we hope to make our readers more money. We didn’t start off well yesterday with a loss on Kaprizov but we look to bounce back today and start our bank roll with Buffalo’s Tage Thompson.

Bet: Tage Thompson anytime goal (+160)
These two are very similar and have surprisingly changed roles over the last month with New Jersey playing a better defensive game allowing just three goals a game on average in March while Buffalo averages 3.23 per game. They’ve started to score more however with a goals per game average of 3.31 compared to Jersey’s 3.07 average.
It’s extremely close numbers across the board for these two and could make for an exciting low-scoring game with Jake Allen starting to heat up with a 4-2-0 record and a goals against average of 2.51 plus a save percentage of .925 in his six starts since joining New Jersey.
Buffalo will likely roll with netminder Devon Levi and the 22-year-old Quebec native will be interesting to watch as his season has seen highs and lows with a 3.16 goals against average this season but a 4.29 average in two games against New Jersey.
If the game gets out of hand early, the Devils will need to rely on forward Tage Thompson, who is finally starting to catch fire.
The 26-year-old has been a disappointment this season with just 24 goals and 45 points but has picked it up lately with four goals and ten points over his last nine games. He has a great scoring history against New Jersey with five goals and eight points in their last nine matchups.
