Carolina Hurricanes @ Minnesota Wild

The Wild have lost in regulation just once this month with a 7-1-1 record that is third-best behind the Leags and Rangers. They’ve seen their offense explode with the second-best goals per game average of 4.11 that lands them just behind the Leafs. Their backend hasn’t exactly tightened up as they still average three goals allowed per game during that span.

Relying too heavily on the offense could be a problem against teams like the Hurricanes, who are known to have a lethal offense thanks to their superstars Sebastian Aho and Seth Jarvis while also being hot recently on defense with a 1.80 goals against per game average during their last ten games.

Canes starter Pyotr Kochetkov has been red hot lately and gives this game relatively good odds for scoring. The Wild have averaged well over three goals during their recent hot streak and they should see an added boost of playing at home. The Wild getting at least three on the board is a piece of cake.

Pick: Wild over 2.5 goals (-160)

Ottawa Senators @ Nashville Predators

The Sens were rolling, heading into last night when they faced off against the Capitals on the road. They were certainly surprised when they gave up four first period goals and were forced to chase the lead for the remainder of the game.

They now continue their road trip into Smashville where they look to snap the Predators five-game winning streak. Nashville has mowed down every team in sight with each of their five straight wins all coming by two or more goals.

They’ve been a money printing machine for betters taking them to cover the puck line but they may have a hard time versus and elite Senators team. They did just lose 6-3 but they did score three goals and their elite offense has kept them in games that they’ve lost due to their defensive play.

Their top eight offense has scored 3.34 goals per game and only drops to 3.21 when they play on the road. A top offense going against a red hot team playing at home plus both teams have netminders with goals against averages almost over three smells like a perfect recipe for an over in goals.

Pick: Over 6.5 goals (-115)

St. Louis Blues @ Winnipeg Jets

The Blues are finally starting to get on people’s radar as they’ve won nine of their last 14 games with surprising upsets over the Canucks, Kings and Oilers. They got thrashed in their last outing on Saturday when they lost 6-1 to a firing Red Wings team. They will look to rebound Tuesday night but may be tough against the Jets.

Winnipeg isn’t making the headlines they once were with their stellar play but are still a tough team to beat with wins in six of their last seven games. They will have a lot of confidence riding into tonight but will look more beatable with netminder Laurent Brossoit getting the start instead of the current Vezina trophy favourite in Connor Hellebuyck.

Brossoit has started just two games this month and has allowed three and four goals which could help the Blues case going against a cold goalie. The Blues should get on the board thanks to Robert Thomas, who’s been the Blues hottest player in February with 13 points in their last eight games.

Pick: Robert Thomas over 0.5 points (-130)
