Ducks' Dumoulin Headed to Devils for Second-Round Pick, Prospect
The Ducks started their trade deadline fire sale when sending veteran defenceman Brian Dumoulin to the New Jersey Devils for a 2025 second-round pick and Swedish prospect Herman Traff, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. The Ducks are retaining 50 per cent on Dumoulin's $3.15 million cap hit.

Dumoulin, 33, is a defensive defenceman that has excelled in his role, winning a pair of Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016 and 2017. The Maine product has averaged just under 20 minutes of ice-time and recorded 16 points through 61 games this season for Anaheim.
