The Ducks started their trade deadline fire sale when sending veteran defenceman Brian Dumoulin to the New Jersey Devils for a 2025 second-round pick and Swedish prospect Herman Traff, per Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman. The Ducks are retaining 50 per cent on Dumoulin's $3.15 million cap hit.

This would be the exact time to take the Ducks under for regular season points at 78.5 with -105 odds and makes them to miss the playoffs an easy future parlay add.

Dumoulin, 33, is a defensive defenceman that has excelled in his role, winning a pair of Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016 and 2017. He has since been a reliable blueliner that has been able to plug in wherever he is needed. New Jersey will be his fourth career stop after playing for the Ducks and Kraken over the last two seasons.

The Maine product has averaged just under 20 minutes of ice-time and recorded 16 points through 61 games this season for Anaheim.
