The Carolina Hurricanes have added winger Nikolaj Ehlers per multiple reports.
The Hurricanes get another top end addition to their forward group with Winnipeg's Nikolaj Ehlers. The deal is for six years with an annual cap hit at $8.5 million per season.
The Danish winger is coming off another 60-point season that was shortened to 69 apperances due to injury. He was on track for his best season yet and could find himself as a regular 70-80 point player in Carolina's system.
Ehlers could be the final piece in a Hurricanes team that is desperate to snap their losing skid in the Eastern Conference Finals that has seen them eliminated in three straight appearances. Carolina is listed with the second-best offs to win the Stanley Cup at +750 and are listed with +120 odds to win the Metropolitan division.
