Easter Monday has eight exciting matchups for hockey fans to enjoy and gives us plenty of opportunities to look out for another addition to our Pad Stacking Challenge.
If you haven’t been reading our content over the past few days, our new betting challenge uses the concept of building our bank and rolling over our profits. We do this by stacking our winnings through well-researched picks given out daily that will hopefully build our bank.
If you’ve been involved with the challenge over the last two days, you should be at just over $44 and we look to build on that with a pick from the exciting matchup between the Rangers and Penguins.
All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Please gamble responsibly.
Bet: Mika Zibanejad over 0.5 points
The Swedish centre has been a focal point of the Blueshirts’ offense this season with 24 goals and 63 points this season while playing alongside goalscorer Artemi Panarin who has 44 goals and 107 points this season.
He dominates the Penguins with points in 11 of their last 15 matchups for a total of six goals and 15 assists. He’s also stayed in the picture among the Rangers top point producers in the month of March with five goals and nine points over 14 games.
Pittsburgh has been known for their defensive prowess this season with stretches of games where they ranked among the best in the league at preventing goals. They’ve been figured out lately with a 5-8-3 record and a goals against average of 3.94 over their last 16 games.
It is the teams worst stretch defensive play all season and is bound to turn around at some point but will be very challenging on the road in the Big Apple. It is also worth noting that Zibanejad and Panarin have been the most dominant Rangers at home over the past two seasons with a combined 66 goals and 178 points over 76 games.
Panarin could easily find the scoresheet as well with eight goals and 18 points over his last 15 matchups against the Penguins which means at least one of the two should find the back of the net with the other setting up the play.
If we put our $44 from over the past few days on Zibanejad, we should build our total up to $75 which we can build upon with another loaded hockey slate on Tuesday.
