Michael Augello discusses the difficulties Kevyn Adams says he has to bring NHL players to Buffalo on the Buffalo Sabres site.
-"This is not the time. We're not a destination city right now, where we're going to be able to go out and get UFA’s that are the guys, and I just don't think that's the way to go with this team." Adams said. “We don't have palm trees. We have taxes in New York. Those things are real and that you deal with. There are a lot of players in this league that we're on their (no trade)list, so we need to earn their respect, and it starts with getting over the hump and getting in the playoffs."

Michael Augello talks about the Sabres history of failure on the Buffalo Sabres site.
-If the movie “Groundhog Day” had been made about a professional hockey franchise, it would have been about the Buffalo Sabres. Exactly one year ago, coming off a 3-2 shootout loss to the Montreal Canadiens, the Sabres were 11-14-3 (25 points), three points out of last place in the Eastern Conference, and were an organization in disarray. After an offseason where they brought in a half dozen forwards via trade, free agency, and internal promotion to improve their depth, Buffalo is coming off a 6-5 shootout loss to the Detroit Red Wings and are a nearly exact 11-13-4 (26 points), and one point out of dead last in the East.

Michael Augello talks about the Sabres owner meeting with the team on the Buffalo Sabres site.
-The Buffalo Sabres continue to be in a state of disarray in the wake of a pair of weekend road losses to the Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs, which prompted team owner Terry Pegula to travel to Montreal prior to the end of their three-game road trip against the Canadiens on Tuesday.
