However, last night in the 5-3 loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs, Mason Marchment left the game early after taking a cross-check in the back from Conor Timmins. There was no penalty called on the play.

-Things turn from ugly to worse when Robertson makes another nice play with a neutral zone interception and dishes the puck to Bobby McMann, who fires a far blue line shot on Oettinger. It catches the ice cold goaltender off guard and sneaks past him in near the post for a fourth Leafs goal.

-On this day, it was veteran center Matt Duchene’s time to shine, as he potted his first goal of the night on the power play with 26 seconds left in the second period to give Dallas the first goal of the night.
Duchene then made it 2-0 for the Stars with his third of the season at the 12:06 mark of the third period – and 1:10 later, star center Roope Hintz scored his third of the season to put the Stars in a commanding lead.
