Upper Deck just gave collectors a reason to get excited for Upper Deck 2024-25  Extended Series Hockey. Ovechkin signed eight of his Young Guns cards and they will be randomly inserted into Upper Deck 2024-25 Extended Series Hockey.

Connor Bedard's rookie cards out of various 2023-24 Upper Deck products sent hockey cards into the mainstream. A Bedard tax was created as a result.

The Bedard tax doubled, or more, the cost of 2023-24 products on a year-over-year basis. Upper Deck 2022-23 Black Diamond Hockey retailed for approximately $200 USD at release. The Bedard rookie year edition of Black Diamond pushed $500 for box. 

Most Upper Deck 2023-24 hockey products have dropped in cost from release day. Upper Deck 2023-24 Black Diamond Hockey currently retails for $300 per box.

Things changed for the recent Upper Deck 2023-24 Premier Release. The 2022-23 edition of Upper Deck Premier Hockey retails for $250 per box. With that logic, Bedard's Upper Deck 2023-24 Upper Deck Premier Hockey should have pushed $500 per box. Upper Deck flipped the script by offering the box for as low as $250 at release.

As a result, breakers and local card shops could not keep enough Upper Deck 2023-24 Premier Hockey on the shelves. 

Upper Deck 2023-24 Ultimate Hockey is set to release on May 7, 2025 and presales are fetching an affordable $165 per box.

Breakers and local card shops are stocking up for a massive release day for Upper Deck 2023-24 Hockey.

Price it right, and they will buy.
