However, this year's checklist is extra special as it features 'The Great One' Wayne Gretzky's 1/1 Shield Auto. 

This unique collectible will certainly be a highly coveted card by many high-end hockey card or Gretzky Collectors. 

In fact, there's already been a $225,000 bounty placed on the grail card by Grant Patterson of GP Sports Cards, a GTA brick-and-mortar shop, who also has a strong social media following. 

Patterson took to Instagram ahead of the release to set the bounty price, agreeing to buy the Gretzky Shield off whoever pulls the card for nearly a quarter of a million dollars. 

This would break the current record of $203,000 for a 1/1 Gretzky Shield, which was set in May of 2022, according to CardLadder. 

Upper Deck Ultimate Collection is a four-card box that includes one base or parallel card, along with three autograph or memorabilia cards.  The price of the box can vary from $229-$249 CAD. 

In addition to the Gretzky Shield Auto, Patterson has placed a bounty for many other Hall-of-Famers in the checklist, such as Steve Yzerman, Mike Modano, and Rob Blake. The other big chase rookies from this set include Macklin Celebrini, Lane Hutson, and Matvei Michkov.
