On Wednesday, the Florida Everblades and Adirondack Thunder play in a pivotal Game 3 of the ECHL Eastern Conference Finals.
The first two games of the series have been tightly contested, as expected. Florida edged the Thunder in Game 1 by a 2-1 final score behind Mark Senden's two goals. Adirondack returned the favor in Game 2 in a 2-0 shutout behind Isaac Poulter's 41-save shutout.
With the series shifting to southwest Florida, both teams will look to gain the upper hand in Game 3.
Here is a look at several key stats to keep close tabs on.
Red-Hot Harper
Adirondack's Shane Harper will look to extend his seven-game point streak on Wednesday. The Thunder forward has accumulated three goals and nine points during that stretch. In this series, Harper has a goal, an assist, five shots on goal, and a +1 plus/minus rating.
Send(en) It
After a relatively quiet showing in the first round, Florida's Mark Senden has been exceptional as the pressure has mounted. The Everblades forward has four goals, including two in this series, and five assists in 14 games, making his nine points tied for the fourth-most among ECHL rookies in the playoffs.
Perfect Poulter
Adirondack's Isaac Poulter has collected an ECHL-leading four shutouts in the postseason thus far. After allowing a combined ten goals in the first two games against Norfolk, the Thunder goaltender has allowed a combined five goals over his last five outings.
Road Warriors
For whatever reason, the Thunder have played much better on the road this postseason. Adirondack is 5-1 away from Cool Insuring Arena, which is a continuation of its Eastern Conference-leading 22-10-3-1 road record during the regular season. However, back in February, the Thunder dropped all three games in Estero, Florida.
Game 3 will get underway from Hertz Arena, with puck drop set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
