The Wichita Thunder topped the visiting Utah Grizzlies 4-1 on Thursday night. Michal Stinil, skating in his 200th ECHL game, notched a second-period goal.

Trevor Gorsuch made 22 saves, and Michal Stinil scored in his 200th career ECHL game as the Wichita Thunder recorded a 4-1 victory over the visiting Utah Grizzlies on Thursday night.

Stinil was one of four different players to score for Wichita, with Jeremie Bucheler, Joe Carroll, and Jay Dickman also contributing goals. With the win, the Thunder improved to 2-0-0-0 against the Grizzlies this season.

Gorsuch made his first start of the season for Wichita and stopped 22 of the 23 shots on goal he faced. The 30-year-old goaltender was particularly sharp in the first period, saving all 11 of Utah's shots to keep a clean sheet.

The Grizzlies fell to 3-4-1-0 on the road this season, suffering two consecutive losses.

Aaron Aragon scored the lone goal for Utah, marking his second goal of the season. Grizzlies goaltender Vinny Duplessis made 29 saves in his first appearance of the season.

Wichita's power play, which entered the game with a 16.0% conversion rate, found success by scoring on one of their two attempts. Reed Lebster's tripping minor gave the Thunder a man advantage near the end of the second period, and Bucheler capitalized with a one-timer from the left-wing circle.

Holding a 2-1 lead after the first 40 minutes of play, Carroll extended the lead by scoring just 73 seconds into the third period on a backdoor feed from Nolan Burke. As Utah pulled their goalie for an extra attacker, Dickman sealed the game with his ninth goal of the season and Wichita's fourth of the game.

In the third period, Utah managed to register only four shots on goal.
