Robbie Baillargeon joins the Americans after playing the last several seasons in Europe.
The Allen Americans now have some additional scoring punch and leadership up front with the signing of forward Robbie Baillargeon to a contract for the 2024-25 season.
Baillargeon joins the Americans after playing the last several seasons in Europe. In 2023-24, he had 22 points in 39 games with Cergy-Pontoise in France (Ligue Magnus).
The Enfield, Connecticut native has 30 total games in the ECHL, with the majority being played in a South Carolina Stingrays uniform during the 2017-18 season. He also had one appearance with the Tulsa Oilers during the 2018-19 campaign.
Baillargeon played four years of college hockey, with most of his time at Boston University. He led his team in scoring during the 2013-14 season and was a teammate of Jack Eichel. He also played under former San Jose Sharks and New York Rangers head coach David Quinn.
In junior hockey, Baillargeon played the 2012-13 season in the USHL with Indiana and Omaha, posting 41 points (18-23-41). He also helped Team USA capture a gold medal at the 2012 World Junior A Challenge in Nova Scotia.
The Ottawa Senators selected Baillargeon in the fifth round (136th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He has the ability to play at center and on the right side, giving the Americans versatility and experience up front.
“Robbie is a player that oozes hockey,” said Americans Head Coach B.J. Adams after the signing. "He has a passion for the game that is unmatched. We are excited to welcome Robbie to the Americans."
